Pete holds the Mountaineering Instructors Certificate (MIC) and the International Mountain Leader Award (IML). He has been climbing and mountaineering at home and abroad for 30 years and for the last twenty, has been directing ML, HML and RCI training and assessment.
Pete is also a qualified teacher and has been Head of Outdoor Pursuits and EVC at a large comprehensive school. He is an expert at organising school visits, managing risk and facilitating activities in the outdoors.
Pete also has a deep understanding of and interest in mountaineering history and the outdoor environment
Emile has been playing outdoors for over thirty years in a wide range of activities and has been instructing and assessing on the Mountain Leader and Hill and Moorland Leader for over eleven years. Emile is also a D of E assessor. He has travelled extensively, leading expeditions in the in the Himalayas and Morocco and as well as trekking, has undertaken vehicle expeditions and expedition training in North Africa and Europe.
Along with his outdoor training, Emile also delivers licensed security training and is an expert in a range of medical and first aid training products. He also participates in Judo, climbing, paddling, shooting and tries to stay fit …
After many years in a full time job in engineering, Mark now spends most of his spare time in the mountains. Over the past 35 years he has been very active in canoeing, caving, sailing and skiing though more recently concentrating his efforts in mountaineering.
He regularly experiences most UK mountain areas, undertakes numerous alpine trips and more recently, has gained experience of the Himalaya. Wanting to share this experience and knowledge has led him towards the Summer and Winter ML and RCI. He now works alongside local schools, trains and assesses on Mountain Leader courses and leads month-long, overseas school expeditions.
Nicola is an experienced Summer Mountain Leader and a UKCC level 2 Paddle Sports Coach. She works as a freelance instructor to provide training in the UK and overseas. Nic has travelled extensively spending time in the Alps, Dolomites, Andes, Himalaya and New Zealand Southern Alps. She has also travelled in Mongolia, Borneo and SE Asia.
When Nic is not in the mountains or on the river she is a tutor of First Aid. Nic has a keen interest in NLP and how it can be used to help you work towards personal goals.
James is a fulltime instructor working at a further education college delivering outdoor adventurous activities. Additionally, he regularly instructs in his spare time delivering activities to a variety of people.
He was fortunate enough to walk in the British and Alpine mountains from a young age due to a passion encouraged by his parents. Holidays were in the Lake District, Scotland, North Wales and then the Alps.
He seeks out adventure and adventurous routes. He enjoys big mountain days exploring the British mountains, especially in winter.
James is also passionate about helping people develop their skillset and experience. He aims to inspire and educate people and instil a passion so they can experience environments and develop themselves personally and professionally.
