Writhlington School D of E in Snowdonia

In June, I accompanied Jamie and Writhlington School for their D of E Assessment and Training to Snowdonia. The weather was dry and cold for the first half of the week and as we had a spare afternoon on arrival, went climbing and abseiling behind the campsite. We decided that as the trainees were very experienced, they might benefit from and excursion on the North Ridge of Tryfan and Bristly Ridge. The day after saw us on Crib Goch, arriving at the end of the pinnacles at the same time as the wind and rain.

The last two days were misty and damp so both groups wild camped for their last night. The assessment group were overjoyed to successfully complete the four days
