Norway with BXM International

Towards the end of August, I was invited by Philip and Helen Wilson to accompany them to the Hardangervidda Plateau in Norway on one of their first overseas D of E Gold expeditions. There were two groups from Gordon’s School in Surrey and we based in a series of chalets in Geilo. The teams had a challenging route with three wild camps on the plateau and long days. However, these wild camps were stunning in views and location and the paths were adequate despite a bit wet and muddy in places.

The teams performed with distinction and despite yours truly trying out the emergence procedures following a detached retina, everything went smoothly and the groups finished with a great white water rafting experience at Dagali. Thanks to Phil and Helen for their excellent organisation
